Crime Of Passion examines femicide in opera, its historical roots, and its presence in our daily lives. Carmen, Salome and Violetta refuse to die again and again on stage. Maxim Gorki Theater, BerlinWinnie lives in her own universe on Tumblr under the nickname CYB3R_ANG3L_3. The endless data streams of cyberspace are the culture to which she connects her innermost being, her thoughts, feelings, and fears. After going through a painful experience, she spends her days between brain and bed rotting in her room. Cyberangel combines performance with multimedia installation and documents Winnie’s daily life in search of healing.

A play about love in the 21st century, loneliness, narcissism, the singularity and emancipation (fembots have feelings too). It tells the story of Pygmalion, who is a lovesick roboticist instead of a sculptor in this story. Called Galatea, his creation is a robot instead of a statue, and he based her on a girlfriend who just left him. After Galatea comes to life, Pygmalion stands face-to-face with his fantasy turned into flesh-and-blood.

The short film explores society’s perception of women and their relationship with gender expectations and beauty standards. The film uses found footage, analog film, 3D animation, poetry and prosthetics to ask questions about gender performativity, monstrous women and the cult of youth.

 “We are queer because we refuse to take a fixed form.” (Antke Engel). 
A live ASMR performance on the inner critical voice and queer mental health. Hand-knitted pieces show how a person felt while knitting: In a relaxed state, the stitches are loose and soft. Being physically tense creates a tight, rigid pattern. When we are daydreaming, small bumps or holes show. A knitted piece thus works like a diary of mental health. Textile, body and installation merge into one sculpture.

Which relationship can a garment and a body enter into? Today's everyday clothing often functions as an elastic tube to which the body gives a specific shape. The garment adapts to the shape of the body. In our imagined utopia, queer bodies and garments should instead stand independently for themselves, coexist equally, and at points enter into a relationship of tension. Not allowing a clear allocation of gender or time, the costumes oscillate between sculpture and clothing, between futurism and historical references. Crime Of Passion examines femicide in opera, its historical roots, and its presence in our daily lives. Carmen, Salome and Violetta refuse to die again and again on stage. Instead, they reclaim their narratives, offering an ancestral, musical, and spiritual resistance. PAIN KILLER is a response to our experience of navigating chronic pain and overstimulation at raves. This year the playground transforms into a pain relief station and sensory spa. You can release tensions, soften overstimulation and experience care at the somatic installation.

Winnie lives in her own universe on Tumblr under the nickname CYB3R_ANG3L_3. The endless data streams of cyberspace are the culture to which she connects her innermost being, her thoughts, feelings, and fears. After going through a painful experience, she spends her days between brain and bed rotting in her room. Cyberangel combines performance with multimedia installation and documents Winnie’s daily life in search of healing.&#38;nbsp;

The installation focuses on gender transition through transdermal self-medication. The piece explores the rituality of transitioning – questioning its political dimension, privacy and accessibility. “We are queer because we refuse to take a fixed form.” (Antke Engel). The Cutest Criticism is a live ASMR performance on the inner critical voice and queer mental health. Hand-knitted pieces show how a person felt while knitting. In a relaxed state, the stitches are loose and soft. Being physically tense creates a tight, rigid pattern. When we are daydreaming, small bumps or holes show. A knitted piece thus works like a diary of mental health. Textile, body and installation merge into one sculpture.

Not Ur Fetish centres the trans body as a surface of projection. Drawing upon the iconography of the mermaid as an inherently non-binary entity, the performance explores themes of disgust, objectification, rebirth, and metamorphosis.

QUEER BODIES is a three chapters video installation that explores the process of embracing queer identity: From the death of the former self, to the searching for agency, to the creation of a community. Elin Laut (he/him) is an interdisciplinary artist working across costume, sculpture, installation, video, and performance. His practice explores queer corporeality and the social, material, and media-based conditions of identity.
Site-specific and collaborative, his process-based projects unfold in dialogue with space, context and community, creating hybrid forms between exhibition and performance. Working with symbolically charged materials and found objects, he creates pieces that engage with the body – queering material norms and exploring gender from a trans perspective across cyberspace, stage, and lived reality.
His work has been shown at various institutions in Berlin, such as Maxim Gorki Theater, Neuköllner Oper and Kunstquartier Bethanien. His video works have screened at film festivals internationally. Elin holds a Master’s degree from the University of the Arts Berlin and is co-founder of critical.costume, an initiative exploring costume in expanded artistic practices.
